Medline Zip-Style Biohazard Specimen Bags are designed to safely contain solid or liquid infectious material that may contain bloodborne pathogens or other potentially harmful materials. Healthcare workers use specimen containers to facilitate safe transport of the material to a laboratory for testing. To prevent contamination, the bag is 2 mil thick with two separate compartments to hold the specimen and the patient’s documents to prevent accidental separation of the paperwork. The bag is securely sealed with a zip-style closure. The biohazard symbol on the front of the specimen bag clearly identifies its contents for additional safety and precaution during transport.
