- Pink, the waterproof outer film layer
- Highly absorbent hydrocellular central layer
- Non-adherent inner layer
- Cushioned pad
Benefits
- Very absorbent
The unique design of the ALLEVYN Tracheostomy dressing permits it to absorb large quantities of secretions. This helps to prevent maceration and maintain the health of the patient’s skin within the peristomal region. - Simple to install and take off
The key-hole aperture of ALLEVYN Tracheostomy dressing is designed to make it simpler for patients to use the dressing. If needed the dressing could be cut into a specific shape. The removal of the dressing is easy and painless and causes minimal discomfort for the patient. - A film that is breathable
The OPSITE * Film is breathable. OPSITE * Film is the outer layer of the Allevyn Tracheostomy dressing, which prevents the leakage of secretions into the dressing’s front and provides a clean surface that acts as a barrier against liquids. - Non-adherent
The innovative design of the ALLEVYN Tracheostomy dresser reduces adherence to the peristomal skin as well as the tracheostomy tube. This reduces injuries to the patient in the course of the procedure and after removal. - Soft and pliable
The cushioned middle layer has significant benefits in terms of comfort for patients and security. Its non-fibrous structure can also mean that fiber shedding is not a concern as is the case with traditional gauze dressings. - Attractive look
The ALLEVYN Tracheostomy dressing is an elegant, practical appearance that helps to calm patients as well as their caregivers. The high absorbency of the dressing means that fewer dressing changes are needed and the dressing is not just more economical but also less uncomfortable for the patients.
