What is VERSOL Sterile Water, and how is it used?
- Sterile Water is a prescribed medicine employed to act as an Irrigant. Sterile Water can be used by itself or in combination with other drugs.
- Sterile Water belongs to a group of medicines known as Sterile Irrigating Solutions.
- It isn’t known whether Sterile Water is safe and effective for children.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
- Not for injection.
- Please only use it if a solution is clear, the container is undamaged, and the seal is intact.
- Sterile single-use device.
- The contents of an opened bottle should be used promptly to minimize microbial risk.
- Discard any unused solution.
- There is a risk of contamination if the solution is re-used.
- After use, discard the container and any new solution according to local waste disposal.
What are the possible side effects of Sterile Water?
Sterile Water may cause serious adverse side effects such as:

1. Is VERSOL Sterile Water the same as distilled water?
Ans- Sterile water is organically free but isn’t wholly free of inorganic chemicals. A few methods sterilize distilled water, but it removes organic and inorganic pollutants. So, distilled water provides uncontaminated water.

Ans- Due to the hypotonicity, absorption of Sterile Water for Irrigation can result in severe adverse reactions of hyponatremia, hyperosmolality and fluid overload, resulting in a fatality or permanent morbidity.
7. Is purified water sterile water?
Ans- Sterile water is free of organic substances but not wholly free of inorganic chemicals. Distilled water undergoes some sterilization methods, but it removes organic and inorganic contaminants from the water. Therefore, distilled water is an uncontaminated water.
